DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/05 13:56 Row-Crop Markets Relax Lower After Firm First Half of Week Roller-coaster-like price action continues to be the feature of row-crop markets as grain markets corrected downward led by a heavily down soybean complex. Corn and soy markets in particular stand at a crossroads in price action with both on the cusp of significant technical breakthroughs while attempting to sort out what world supplies will be entering the market in the coming months via South America. In outside markets, tariff trade continues to unwind with a softer U.S. dollar yet again, while equity markets continue to recover from selling pressure late last week amid trade war concerns. Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 1 1/4 cents and May corn was unchanged, 0 cents. March soybeans closed down 18 cents and May soybeans were down 15 3/4 cents. March KC wheat closed down 3 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 4 3/4 cents, March Minneapolis wheat was down 3 1/4 cents.
