DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/27 13:53 Row Crop Markets Retreat to Nearby Support Grain markets continued Friday's lower trend to begin the new week, retesting support points immediately to the lower side and, for the most part, finding buying interest at lower prices with corn, soy markets, and wheat all finishing well off daily lows. Outside market influence was mixed with equities trading both sides of unchanged following a tech-stock-driven selloff to begin the week. Crude oil also took another plunge and will be up against key support stemming from early January, while the U.S. Dollar Index also continues to slip, now back to its lowest level since mid-December, although still elevated compared to recent history. Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 4 1/2 cents and May corn was down 4 1/4 cents.
