DTN Early Word Grains 01/24 05:53 Grain Markets Lower to End the Week After Strong Rebound on Thursday March corn is down 4 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 4 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 4 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 13 cents, March KC wheat is down 5 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is down 4 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Friday morning with the U.S. market currently lower after another strong session on Thursday that once again challenged lifetime highs in the S&P 500. President Trump spoke to the leaders in Davos on Thursday, imploring the Middle East to increase production and bring down the price of oil, while threatening tariffs but also suggesting that there are actions that could be taken that would prevent tariffs from being instituted. This helped equity prices rally during and after his speech. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 408.34 at 44,565.07 and the S&P 500 up 32.34 at 6,118.71. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.638%. Early Friday, the March Dow Jones Futures are down 54 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.45%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.23% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.95%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.07% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.7%.
