DTN Early Word Grains 04/11 05:52 Grain Markets Mixed Thursday Morning, With Corn and KC Wheat Firm May corn is up 2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 3 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 3/4 cent, May Chicago wheat is down 1 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 2 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 3 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 3/4 cent, May Chicago wheat is down 1 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed but mostly lower Thursday morning, with the U.S. market lower for a second consecutive day after Wednesday's large selloff which was prompted by a stronger than anticipated CPI report. The CPI report showed prices up 0.4% in March with year-over-year increases of 3.5%. Both figures were 0.1% higher than trade expectations, and the assumption is that this will make a rate cut in March much less likely. Thursday morning, we will get the PPI report, which will provide further clarity to the level of inflation in the economy. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 422.16 at 38,461.51 and the S&P 500 down 49.27 at 5,160.64, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.56%. Early Thursday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 87 points. European markets lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.55% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.14%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.35% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.23%.
