DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/25 13:41 Soybeans and Soy Products Weaken on Bearish South American Weather, Weak Export Sales, Fund Selling Soybeans plunged on Thursday, weakened by the lower soybean oil market, with March bean oil falling to the lowest level since June 1. Soy export sales continued to lag last year by 18%. Bean oil fell hard despite the recent strength in palm and crude oil. Corn was a bit weaker, and all three wheat markets again rose, with Chicago finishing higher for the seventh straight day. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 1/2 cent per bushel, March soybeans were down 17 1/4 cents per bushel. March KC wheat was up 11 1/4 cents per bushel, March Chicago wheat finished up 1 1/2 cents per bushel and March Minneapolis wheat closed up 4 1/2 cents.
