DTN Early Word Grains 05/02 05:37 Soybeans Lead Crop Prices Higher Early Tuesday July corn is up 2 cents, July soybeans are up 10 cents and July KC wheat is up 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is up 2 cents, July soybeans are up 10 cents and July KC wheat is up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, U.S. stock futures are starting a little lower with stocks in Europe also lower. Consumer prices in the Eurozone were up 7.0% in April from a year ago and a manufacturing index for Europe showed another month of contraction in April. A report on March U.S. factory orders is set for 9 a.m. CDT and Tuesday, the same time as a report on U.S. job openings. The Federal Reserve begins a two-day meeting Tuesday and is expected to conclude with a quarter-percent rate hike on Wednesday. Tuesday's earnings reports include Cummins, Ford and Thomson Reuters. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 46.46 at 34,051.70 and the S&P 500 Index down 1.61 at 4,167.87. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.57%. Early Tuesday, June Dow Jones futures are down 78 points. European markets are steady to lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.01%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.23% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.05%. Asian markets are slightly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.12%. Markets in China are closed for holiday.
