DTN Early Word Grains 07/05 05:55 Wheat Set For Higher Open at 8:30 a.m. CDT Tuesday; Palm Oil Lower Friday's Globex Prices: December corn was down 12 1/4 cents, November soybeans were down 62 3/4 cents and September KC wheat was down 38 1/4 cents. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst FRIDAY'S GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was down 12 1/4 cents, November soybeans were down 62 3/4 cents and September KC wheat was down 38 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are trading lower in line with European stocks as the outlook for slower growth ahead takes hold globally. There is talk the U.S. may be willing to ease some of the tariffs against China, but general price levels will not likely show much impact. According to CNBC.com, Friday's report on non-farm payrolls is expected to show an increase of 250,000. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 321.83 at 31,097.26 and the S&P 500 up 39.95 at 3,825.33 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.89%, down from the highest level in three and a half years. Early Tuesday, September Dow Jones futures are trading down 130 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.03% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 1.43%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 1.35% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 1.34%. The September euro is down $0.0139 at $1.0343. The September U.S. Dollar Index is up 1.05 at 105.96. The September 30-year T-bond is up 5/32nds, while August gold is up $2.00 at $1,803.50 and August crude oil is down $0.04 at $108.39. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 0.1%, September soybeans were down 0.9%, September soybean meal was up 0.4% and September soybean oil was down 2.9%. September Malaysian palm oil is trading down 4.1%.
