DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/27 16:24 Volatile Day Sees Spot Corn, Beans Breach Major Upside Levels, Then Reverse Course Tuesday's crazy trade day saw spot corn reach the expanded 40-cent limit over $7 and spot beans eclipse $16 before setting back dramatically; the most-active July corn and soybean contracts closed lower. Soybeans broke above $16 before a nearly 60-cent correction into the red with July plunging 55 cents from the high. Wheat also traded on both sides of unchanged before settling mixed with Chicago and Minneapolis closing lower. B GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 3 cents per bushel, July soybeans finished down 19 3/4 cents, July KC wheat closed up 2 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 6 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat settled down 2 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.105 at 90.885. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 24.68 points at 34,006.25. June gold is down $3.40 at $1,776.70, May silver is up $0.17 at $26.38 and May copper is up $0.0480 at $4.4890. June crude oil is up $1.00 at $62.91, June heating oil is up $0.0252, June RBOB is up $0.0374 and June natural gas is up $0.062.
