DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/21 13:55 Row Crops Continue to Push Higher July contracts of corn and soybeans both closed at new highs Wednesday, propelled by a surge of demand throughout the U.S. All three U.S. wheats also closed higher, supported by Wednesday's cold temperatures and lack of rain in the forecast. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 14 1/2 cents and December corn was up 8 cents. July soybeans closed up 21 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 10 3/4 cents. July KC wheat closed up 9 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 13 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 9 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.10 at 91.13. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 259.01 points at 34,080.31. June gold is up $13.80 at $1,792.20, May silver is up $0.75 at $26.59 and May copper is up $0.070. June crude oil is down $1.27 at $61.40, June heating oil is down $0.0252, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.0322 and June natural gas is down $0.034.
