DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/12 14:07 Soybean Oil Drags Soybeans, Grains Lower Monday May soybean oil closed down 1.40 cent at 51.45 cents Monday after Brazil announced it was lowering its biodiesel mandate from 13% to 10% on Friday in an effort to provide relief from high soybean prices. July Minneapolis wheat closed down 11 cents, ending its five-day rally with precipitation falling in North Dakota. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed down 8 1/4 cents and December corn was unchanged. May soybeans closed down 21 cents and November soybeans were down 13 cents. July KC wheat closed down 7 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 10 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was down 11 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.01 at 92.16. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 100.38 points at 33,700.22. June gold is down $17.00 at $1,727.80, May silver is down $0.58 at $24.75 and May copper is down $0.0225. May crude oil is up $0.27 at $59.59, May heating oil is down $0.0009, May RBOB gasoline is up $0.0033 and May natural gas is up $0.035.
