DTN Early Word Grains 02/04 05:56 Corn Pushes Higher Early Thursday March corn is up 4 1/2 cents, March soybeans are down 1/4 cent and March KC wheat is up 2 1/2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: March corn is up 4 1/2 cents, March soybeans are down 1/4 cent and March KC wheat is up 2 1/2 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Thursday, outside markets are mixed with U.S. stock futures and European stocks trading a little higher and the March U.S. Dollar Index also trading higher. The Wall Street Journal reported President Biden is open to limiting the number of people that qualify for $1,400 payments in the stimulus plan, currently being worked on. March crude oil continues to push into its highest prices in a year after the U.S. Energy Department said crude oil supplies were down 1.0 million barrels last week. Other commodities are mostly higher early Thursday, but silver and gold are starting lower. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 36.12 at 30,723.60 and the S&P 500 up 3.86 at 3,830.17 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.13%. Early Wednesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 36 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 304.55 (-1.1%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 15.45 (-0.4%). European markets are a little higher with London's FTSE 100 up 1.68 points (0.03%), Germany's DAX up 34.24 points (0.25%) and France's CAC 40 up 14.64 points (0.26%). The March euro is down $.0037 at $1.20. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.28 at 91.43. The March 30-year T-bond is down 4/32nds, while April gold is down $22.0 at $1,813.10 and March crude oil is up $0.30 at $55.99. China's Dalian exchange showed May corn up 0.6%, March soybeans up 1.3% and March soybean meal up 1.8%. July common wheat on China's Zhengzhou exchange was unchanged. April Malaysian palm oil is trading up 2.9%.
