Spot basis to Chicago remains nearly 75 cents above average and indicative of what has thus far been good export demand for U.S. wheat given a shortfall in Australian production. Hard red winter is also trading 8% better than a year ago, while dark northern spring 8% below last February. Shipments...Weekly export inspections revealed an improved export pace over the past week, coming in at 16.2 mb to put year-to-date shipments at 544 mb and 11% behind a year ago. Top shipper for the week was soft red winter with nearly 7 mb, followed by hard red spring at 3.8 mb and white wheat with 1.9 mb.
