DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/28 15:19 Livestock Futures Mixed, Mostly Higher Wednesday Live cattle futures closed mostly higher Wednesday, up 50 to down 35. Feeder cattle futures were higher, up 35 to 145. Lean hog futures were mixed, up 50 to down 10. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Cash cattle trade picked up on Wednesday with prices lower than last week. Trade in the North took place at $104 and $161-$163, about $4 to $6 lower; Southern live prices were $104, $3 lower. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.41 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($46.00-$50.50) weighted average $49.55. Corn futures closed lower, down 2 1/2 in December; down 2 3/4 in March.
