DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/21 15:17 Cattle Futures Close Higher Live cattle futures closed higher, up 72 to 130. Feeder contracts were also higher, up 82 to 112. Lean hog futures closed mixed, up 52 to down 112. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Cash cattle trade remains quiet Wednesday afternoon with just a few scattered bids at $168 in Nebraska. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.36 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($47.00-$53.75, weighted average $51.96). Corn futures closed modestly lower, down 1/2 to 1 cent. The Federal Reserve left its interest rate unchanged.
