DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/09 15:26 Cattle Futures Close Lower Wednesday Live and feeder cattle futures closed lower Wednesday while lean hog contracts managed to eke out a higher close. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: No cash cattle trade to report in the country. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.29 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($60.00-$67.75, weighted average $66.96). Corn closed up 1 1/2 cents in the September and up 3/4 cent in the December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 240 points lower.
