DTN Closing Livestock Comment 08/25 15:16 Cattle Futures Close Mixed; Lean Hogs Higher Live cattle futures closed lower Tuesday, while feeder issues were mixed and lean hog contracts were higher. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.04 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($72.50-$75.00, weighted average $74.80). Corn futures settled lower, down 3 1/4 cents in the September contract and down 3 1/2 cents in the December. The Dow Jones Index closed more than 200 points lower.
