DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/14 13:54 Minneapolis Wheat Reaches New Heights; Corn, Soy Bounce From Lows Row crops had a difficult time moving much higher early Thursday, as bearish WASDE data and tepid export demand continued to weigh on prices; but they did move higher. Soybeans are gaining some traction with renewed export interest and rumors of more business. Minneapolis wheat again scored a new contract high on tightening U.S. wheat stocks and an overall bullish world outlook for wheat. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 4 1/2 cents per bushel and March corn was up 3 3/4 cents. November soybeans closed up 11 cents and January soybeans were up 9 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed up 9 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 6 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 9 3/4 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.090 at 93.990. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 538.97 points at 34,916.78. December gold is up $4.70 at $1,799.40, December silver is up $0.39 at $23.56 and December copper is up $0.0980 at $4.6140. November crude oil is up $0.91 at $81.35, November heating oil is up $0.0399, November RBOB is up $0.0292 and November natural gas is up $0.088.
