White wheat continued to build on strength from last week, supported by light farm selling and declining crop conditions. Protein wheats also started the week markedly higher. Crop Progress...USDA reported the three-state weighted winter wheat index declined over the past week, slipping 3% to 96% of normal as dry weather impacted the Oregon and Washington crops. Ratings for Oregon showed good to excellent dropping 10% to 55% with poor to very poor up to nearly 10%. Washington dropped 7% out of good to excellent and sets at 67%, while Idaho gained 2% to 55%. Shipments..Weekly export inpsections showed a marked improvement for U.S. wheat loadings last week, coming in at 22.5 mb to put the total at 809 mb and slightly ahead of a year ago.
