DTN Early Word Grains 04/19 05:55 Grains Starting Higher with Dry Forecast, Lower U.S. Dollar July corn is up 9 cents, July soybeans are up 11 1/2 cents and July KC wheat is up 5 1/4 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: July corn is up 9 cents, July soybeans are up 11 1/2 cents and July KC wheat is up 5 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Monday, Dow Jones futures are trading lower with markets mixed in Europe. The world economy in general continues to show signs of picking up as vaccines become more available. Bitcoin is trading down 8% early Monday with unconfirmed talk the U.S. Treasury may crack down on money laundering, reported CNBC.com. The U.S. Dollar Index is also trading lower. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 164.68 at 34,200.67 and the S&P 500 up 15.05 at 4,185.47 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.57%. Early Monday, December Dow Jones futures are down 71 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.01% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.49%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.21%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.17% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.27%. The June euro is up $0.0051 at $1.2044. The June U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.41 at 91.13. The June 30-year T-bond is up 11/32nds, while June gold is up $10.10 at $1,790.30 and June crude oil is down $0.01 at $63.12. On China's Dalian exchange, May corn was up 0.1%, May soybeans were up 0.6%, September soybean meal was up 0.7% and September soybean oil was up 0.8%. May common wheat on China's Zhengzhou exchange was down 0.0%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading down 0.8%.
