CME Globex Recap: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little higher with support from mostly higher markets in Europe. CNBC.com reported the World Health Organization said the pandemic is growing exponentially with over 4.4 million new Covid-19 cases reported last week. Tensions are on the rise in Ukraine. According to Reuters, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister warned the U.S. to keep its warships away from Crimea after Russia moved more troops near Ukraine's border. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 55.20 at 33,745.40 and the S&P 500 down 0.81 at 4,127.99 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.67%. Early Tuesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 33 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 212.88 (0.7%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 16.48 (-0.5%). European markets are mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 down 3.34 points (-0.05%), Germany's DAX up 40.45 points (0.03%) and France's CAC 40 up 14.65 points (0.2%). The June euro is down $.0009 at $1.1912. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.03 at 92.17. The June 30-year T-bond is down 8/32nds, while June gold is down $4.30 at $1,728.40 and May crude oil is up $0.30 at $60.00. On China's Dalian exchange, May corn was down 0.2%, May soybeans were down 1.6%, September soybean meal was down 1.6% and May bean oil was down 0.7%. July common wheat on China's Zhengzhou exchange was unchanged. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 2.6%.
